Transforming Vision into Action
Every successful initiative begins with a strong idea—but ideas alone are not enough. Lasting impact requires strategic thinking, thoughtful planning, strong partnerships, sustainable funding, and disciplined implementation.
For more than 25 years, I have helped nonprofit organizations and mission-driven leaders transform ambitious ideas into high-impact initiatives. My work combines strategic planning, program design, partnership development, organizational development, fundraising strategy, and communications to help organizations strengthen their capacity and achieve meaningful, measurable results.
Drawing on formal training in strategic studies, psychology, environmental policy, economics, and mixed methods research, I help organizations navigate complex challenges, identify emerging opportunities, and build collaborative solutions that create lasting change.

Selected Strategic Initiatives
Designing Flagship National Programs
At Hispanic Access Foundation, I designed and secured funding for flagship national initiatives in mental health, environmental justice, and youth workforce development while securing more than $9.5 million in grant funding supporting a broad portfolio of programs. These initiatives required identifying emerging needs, designing evidence-informed solutions, cultivating partnerships with foundations and federal agencies, recruiting consultants, and developing implementation strategies that positioned the organization for long-term success.
Building a National Technical Assistance Network
At the National Mental Health Association, I co-launched a technical assistance center serving more than 800 grassroots mental health organizations across the country. I designed training curricula, technical assistance services, educational resources, and a national voter empowerment initiative while securing federal funding and building partnerships that strengthened organizational capacity across the country.
Expanding National University Partnerships
At the Peace Corps, I developed national strategies to strengthen partnerships with colleges and universities, helping double participation in key educational initiatives. My work included conducting research, organizing graduate school summits, coordinating multiple agency offices, cultivating institutional relationships, and developing strategic communications that supported agency priorities.
Leading National Public Engagement Campaigns
As Executive Producer of the Hispanic Radio Network, I directed federally funded public education initiatives reaching more than 90 percent of U.S. Spanish-language radio audiences. I brought together nonprofit organizations, healthcare professionals, researchers, government agencies, and community leaders to design culturally relevant campaigns grounded in audience research, collaboration, and rigorous evaluation.
Producing Educational Media
I currently lead development of a documentary film on the life and work of pioneering psychiatrist Alfred Adler for PBS distribution. The project brings together an international team of filmmakers, scholars, clinicians, educators, and nonprofit leaders while requiring strategic planning, fundraising, partnership development, communications, and project management.
I also recently led development of a national training initiative introducing pastoral audiences to Adlerian psychology. The project included curriculum design, implementation, evaluation, and preparation of a peer-reviewed journal article to extend its impact.
Strengthening Organizational Performance
As Executive Director of a nonprofit language-access organization, I worked closely with the board of directors to strengthen governance, improve financial management, resolve longstanding compliance issues, enhance grant administration, and improve operational effectiveness. These changes positioned the organization for greater stability and long-term sustainability.
My Approach
No two organizations face exactly the same challenges, but successful initiatives often follow a similar path. I begin by understanding an organization’s mission, goals, strengths, and opportunities. Together, we identify priorities, build strategic partnerships, develop practical solutions, secure funding, and create implementation plans that are both ambitious and achievable.
Throughout my career, I have worked across public health, mental health, environmental stewardship, workforce development, higher education, civic engagement, international development, and public education. This interdisciplinary experience enables me to recognize opportunities that others may overlook and to bring ideas and successful practices from one field to another.
Whether you need help developing a new initiative, strengthening an existing program, building strategic partnerships, or positioning your organization for future growth, I can help you move from vision to implementation with confidence.
